Wet with Water

Wring and Wrap

Wash and Sun Dry

Saturate the cotton cloth with cool, pure water before wrapping. This instantly cools the passing smoke and helps trap microscopic ash particles within the damp fibers.

Squeeze out the excess moisture completely until the cloth is damp but not dripping. Wrap the safi firmly around the neck of your clay chillum to seal the draw.

Rinse the cloth thoroughly after your session and hang it to dry under the direct sun. Natural sunlight restores the organic cotton fibers and preserves its clean aroma.
